Superlative adjectives in -issimus

Quia gravissima est

The superlative of most adjectives is made by adding -issimus, -a, -um to the stem, so gravis becomes gravissimus. It means 'very' or 'most', and it agrees with its noun like any other adjective: here terra is feminine, so gravissima.
