The service
latindictionary.co is published by Imperial Restitution Press. The dictionary, the reader, the Academy and the opening chapters of the library are free to use. Membership adds the full online library and the features described on the membership page.
Membership and billing
Memberships are sold by the month or the year and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. You can change plan, update your card or cancel at any time from your account page, through Stripe's customer portal. When you cancel, your membership runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew.
If something has gone wrong with a charge, write to contact@imperialrestitution.com and we will put it right.
Family plan
A Familia membership covers the account holder and up to four more readers in the same household or teaching group, added by email address on the account page.
Content and licences
The dictionary data drawn from Lewis & Short, Wiktionary, Smith's dictionaries, Allen & Greenough and the other sources is shared under the licences listed on the sources page, chiefly CC BY-SA 4.0. The text of the graded readers, their glosses and illustrations are © Imperial Restitution Press and are for your own reading; please do not copy them out of the site.
AI-written material
Sentence explanations, notes and glosses marked as written by an AI editor can contain mistakes. Check anything surprising against the dictionary entries.
