Reverti · Revenire · Redire
Reverti and revenire denote properly only momentary actions; reverti, in opp. to proficisci, the turning back; revenire, in opp. to advenire, the return; whereas redire denotes a more lasting action, which lies between turning back and the return, in opp. to porro ire, the journey home. Cic. Att. xvi. 7. p. m. Quam valde ille reditu vel potius reversione mea lætatus effudit. (iv. 63.)
