Vepitenum
Vepitenum or VIPITENUM, a place in the district occupied by the Venostes in Rhaetia, between Veldidena and Tridenturn. (It. Ant. pp. 275, 280; Tab. Peut.) Its modern representative is, in all probability, the town of Sterzing on the Eisach, at the foot of the Brenner.
