Vemania

Vemania a town of Vindelicia, on the road between Augusta Vindelicorum and Brigantium (It. Ant. pp. 237, 251, 259; Tab. Peut.), seems to have been a place of some importance, as it was the station of the prefect of the third legion, who had to guard the frontier from this town to Campodunum. (Not. Imp,) The place now occupying the site is called Wangen.
