Tuliphurdum

Τουλίφουρδον

Tuliphurdum (Τουλίφουρδον), a place in Germany, probably in the country of the Chauci Minores, on the right bank of the Visurgis. (Ptol. 2.11.28.) Wilhelm (Germanien, p. 161) identifies it with the modern Verden; but this is a mere conjecture.
