Rugium

Ῥουγιον

Rugium (Ῥουγιον), a town in the north of Germany on the coast of the Baltic (Ptol. 2.11.27), the site of which seems to correspond exactly with that of the modern Regenwalde, on the river Rega, though others seek it elsewhere. (Wilhelm, Germanien, p. 273.)
