Ipni

Ἰπνοί

Eth. Ipni (Ἰπνοί), on the coast of Magnesia, in Thessaly, at the foot of Mount Pelion, where part of the fleet of Xerxes was wrecked, seems to have been the name of some rocks. (Hdt. 7.188; Strab. ix. p.443.)
