Dianion

Dianion (Geog. Rav.), a place in Dalmatia, which is set down in the Peutinger Table as ad Dianam, where a temple of Diana once stood, succeeded in later times by the Church of St. George. It is now the promontory of Marglian, just below the mountain of the same name. (Wilkinson, Dalmatia and Montenegro, vol. i. p. 143.) [E.B.J]
