Daesidiatae

Δαισιδιᾶται

Daesidiatae, DESIDATAE (Δαισιδιᾶται), one of the many Pannonian tribes. (Strab. vii. p.314.) Pliny (3.26) and Velleius Paterculus (2.115), indeed, mention them among the Illyrian tribes, but this probably arises from the fact that the Romans regarded the Pannonians generally as Illyrians.
