Comaria

Κομαρία

Comaria (Κομαρία, Ptol. 7.1.9), according to Ptolemy, a promontory and town in the S. part of India intra Gangem. There can be little doubt that this name is preserved in that of Cape Comorin, the most southern cape of the peninsula of Hindostan. [V]
