Aquae Labanae
τὰ Λαβανὰ ὕδατα
Aquae Labanae (τὰ Λαβανὰ ὕδατα), are mentioned by Strabo (v. p.238) as cold sulphureous waters analogous in their medical properties to those of the Albula, and situated near Nomentum: they are clearly the same now called Bagni di Grotta Marozza about 3 miles N. of Mentana, the ancient Nomentum. (Nibby, Dintorni di Roma, vol. ii. p. 144.)
