Statius
3. STATIUS, the Samnite, put to death by the triumvirs in B. C. 43 (Appian, App. BC 4.25), is probably the same as the celebrated C. Papius Mutilus, one of the leaders of the Samnites in the Social war. [MUTILUS.]
