Severus, Aquillius
a Spaniard, lived under Valentian, and wrote a work, partly in prose and partly in poetry, which is thus described by Hieronymus (de Vir. Ill. 100.3): "volumen, quasi Ὁδοιπορικόν, totius suae vitae statum continens, tam prosa, quam versibus, quod vocavit καταστροφὴν, sive Πεῖραν." (Wernsdorf, Poetae Lutini Minores, vol. v. p. 1491.)
