Pithon

Πίθων

(Πίθων).

Confusion among authors named Peithon, Pithon, and Puthon

Great confusion exists in the MSS. editions of various authors between the different firms, Πείθων, Πίθων, and Πύθων, and it is frequently impossible to say which is the more correct form. (See Ellendt ad Arr. Anab. 6.7.4.)
