Philtias
a vase painter, whose name occurs on two of the vases in the Canino collection, in the forms ΦΙΤΙΑΣ and, ΦΙΝΤΙΑΣ, which Raoul-Rochette and Gerhard at first read Phintius, but which most antiquaries, including R. Rochette, now read Philtias. (R. Rochette, Lettre à M. Schorn, p. 55, 2d ed.)
