Φιλοστέφανος

(Φιλοστέφανος).

1. A comic poet, but whether of the Old or Middle Comedy is uncertain. Athenaeus (vii. p. 293a.) quotes from his Δήλιος, in which he appears to have satirized the parasitical habits of the Delians. (Meineke, Frag. Com. Graec. vol. i. p. 498, vol. iv. p. 589.)
