Peisistratidae

Πεισιστρατίδαι

(Πεισιστρατίδαι), the legitimate sons of Peisistratus. [See PEISISTRATUS.] The name is used sometimes to indicate only Hippias and Hipparchus, sometimes in a wider application, embracing the grandchildren and near connections of Peisistratus (as by Herodotus, vii. 52. referring to a time when both Hippias and Hipparchus were dead).
