Oppius
18. Oppius Sabinus, a man of consular rank, was sent against the Dacians in the reign of Domitian, and perished in the expedition. (Eutrop. 7.23; Suet. Dom. 6.) The name, however, does not occur in any of the consular fasti, whence some have proposed to read Appius, instead of Oppius in Eutropius and Suetonius.
