3. An epic poet, who celebrated in verse the exploits of the Thebans under Epaminondas in the campaign of Leuctra. (Steph. Byz. s. v. Ἀλεξάνδρεια.) Aelian quotes Hegemon ἐν τοῖς Δαρδανικοῖς μέτροις.
