Hanno

10. A Hanno is mentioned both by Zonaras (8.12) and Orosius (4.7) as commanding in Sardinia during the first Punic war. Orositls states that he succeeded Hannibal (the son of Gisco), but was defeated and killed by L. Scipio, probably in B. C. 259. The same story is told by Valerius Maximus (5.1. ext. 2).
