Coronatus

styled in MSS. Vir Clarissimus, the author of three pieces in the Latin Anthology (ed. Burm. 1.176, 5.155, 157, or Nos. 549-551, ed. Mover). The first, consisting of twenty-nine hexameters, is a poetical amplification, possessing no particular merit, of the Virgilian line " Vivo equidem, vitamque extrema per omnia duco;" the second and third are short epigrams, ingeniously expressed, upon hens fattened with their own eggs. We possess no information with regard to this writer, but he probably belongs to a late period.
