Lex Mensia
Lex Mensia or MINICIA enacted that the children of parents, either of whom was a peregrinus, should be peregrini themselves: and thus (where a civis Romana married a peregrinus) introduced an exception to the rule that where there was no conubium between man and wife the issue should follow the condition of the mother (Ulpian, Reg. 5.8).
