Lex Cornelia
Lex Cornelia DE SPONSORIBUS (B.C. 81), probably enacted by Sulla: it provided that (with a few exceptions) no one should become surety for the same debtor to the same creditor in any one year for a larger sum than 20,000 sesterces (Gaius, 3.124, 5). See INTERCESSIO
