Lex Cicereia
Lex Cicereia enacted that a creditor on taking sponsors or fidepromissors should first state publicly what the debt to be guaranteed was, and also the number of sureties he was going to take: if this were not done, they could, by taking action within thirty days, procure their release (Gaius, 3.123; Dig. 50, 16, 33; cf. Puchta, Institutionen, § 264, note s).
