Ceadas
Ceadas (Κεάδας) or CAEADAS(Καιάδας) was a deep cavern or chasm, like the Barathron at Athens, into which the Spartans were accustomed to thrust persons condemned to death. (Thuc. 1.134; Strab. viii. p.367; Paus. 4.18.4; Suidas, s. v. Βάραθρον, Καιάδας, Κεάδας.)
