Limici, ōrum, m.
I. plur., a people of Hispania Tarraconensis, Plin. 3, 3, 4, § 28.
Origins
From Paleo-Hispanic, from Gallaecian Limia, the Limia river, and the relational suffix *-ko-, meaning "the people of the Limia". The name Limia is from Proto-Celtic *līmo- ("flood; marsh", compare Welsh llif, "flow; stream; flood"), from Proto-Indo-European *léymō (“lake”).
