Hytanis
Hytanis or HYCTANIS, a river of Carmania mentioned by Pliny (6.23. s. 26), and which he says washed down gold. Strabo, on the authority of Onesicritus, speaks of a similar river, but does not give its name (xv. p. 726). [V]
