Sabinus
2. P. Sabinus, was appointed by Vitellius, on his accession to the empire in A. D. 69, praefect of the praetorian troops, although he was at the time only praefect of a cohort. (Tac. Hist. 2.92, 3.36.) He must not be confounded with his contemporary Flavius Sabinus, the praefect of the city [SABINUS, FLAVIUS].
